Default Interested in opinions on filler panel choice for Avus...

1) Black w/aluminum strips--I'm assuming satin finish to match grill surround or;
2) Black w/black strips

I'm favoring 1), but interested to hear your thoughts.

I think the aluminum strips help break up the bass mouth a little but, then again, I'm not a bass hater so maybe 2) works as well...

Just somehow thinking though that on the lighter colors, like Avus, maybe 1) works a little better.

Thoughts?

Dealer has both in stock now, so will be there tomorrow either way--can't wait to ditch the fugly license plate holder. Then we'll see how long it takes the WA State Patrol to start harassing me...

Default I have Avus and the plate holder

Agree it looks bad. You probably can't go wrong either way. I am just going to leave it alone since I am in Cal and don't want to be messed with for that. To me it's almost a step up from how bad the plate looked on the B5 S4.

At least you can't see it when you are behind the wheel!

Default I'll have some pics of that piece on Avus within the next few days.

thanks to sparkhill, the part is on a truck somewhere between Nevada and Texas. scheduled delivery 7/17, so pics will follow shortly thereafter.

Default I have the aluminum bars and they look nice with the lighter Avus front.

There are photo's of this elsewhere in this forum. Most of the magazine photo's have one version or the other. If you don't like the one you pick I bet there is someone here that would trade you.

My thinking also -- car came with it or did you manage to spring one loose from the dealer somehow?
