Introducing the new Stern Adjustable Control Arms. These adjustable length arms allow for adjustments to vehicle camber and caster settings which were previously fixed. I think its safe to assume any* adjustable control arm on a daily driver will clunk at some time.
*Unless they are on a $400k car... in which case they replace the bushing at the ~$30k service and you never know. 
However, a little clunk is a small price to pay for adjustable camber!

Noise is no different than stock.
They use OEM style inner bushings to isolate noise. Have over 10k miles on my own set and they're still quiet.
