Default Loss of performance with de valved exhaust.

I devalved my stock exhaust last week and ever since my car has been very sluggish. After nailing it the car would pull for a few seconds than just stop. I vag com'ed it and nothing. I had the valves plugged but there might be a vacuum leak or maybe there was not enough back pressure(i doubt it). What ever it was the car is back to normal and just wanted to spread the word. I still am deflapped though

Default It might not be the exhaust...

I've been having some issues lately that feels like the car going flat.

It comes and goes, so of course the dealer hasn't been able to recreate it yet, but I think it either has something to do with the flap or a vacuum leak somewhere.

I almost feels like the FSI isn't doing it's job b/c it's most noticeable at the 5500rpm spot where the car usually takes off.

Default 5500 for me too. Hooked up the exhaust again and the car is back to normal. BTW there is a meet in

2 weeks on a Friday there will be like 3 RS4's if your interested its on Audizine. Dont you have a Kooks exhaust? Maybe if they are not capped there could be a vacuum leek. My car like i said would lose power around 5500.

Meet

in what way would/could the FSI not be doing its job? if there's a fuel delivery problem, there's a fuel delivery problem.

Default ive had that problem for a long time now, the only way the dealer can do anything about it is

if you have some sort of check engine light on and then they have a place to start, i think mine will be at the dealer for a loooooong time

Default I have my stock on again for the winter months. I'll check the vacuum lines, but with the Kooks I..

didn't have them connected at all and no issues.

Just guessing it might have something to do with FSI b/c of the 5500 spot.

Did you experience the suggested gains with the Revo Flash?

Default i don't see the FSI tie-in

any number of things could be causing a flat spot at 5500 rpm. suspecting direct injection can't be ruled out i guess, but it would be way down on my list.
