Default Milltek downpipe with cats failing by Milltek

Hello everyone, I have milltek downpipes with cats which are both failing. And Stratmosphere is refusing to refund or exchange them, just wanted to know if anybody else out there have similiar problems.

Default Both the subject line verbage and this assertion sounds a little strange...

I mean, I'm not the biggest Strat proponent, but one thing I have to give them is they stand by their product. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.....

I would suspect the downstream O2 sensors are the tip off.

Default I just got an email yesterday from some one whose seperated but as other have said...

strat and Milltek tend to be pretty stand up folks. I've seen 4 or 5 millteks with cat seperations posted on the S4 forum and just as many stock ones that have gone bad. Can you submit a photo to them of the failed cat. You have visually inspected the core I assume? There can be other reasons a cat inefficiency code comes up if that is the only indicator.

Default Pull the catback section and inspect the cat material. Take a photo and email...

it to them. If they are broken you want to get it fixed. They can clog up in there and cause misfire codes as well in some cases. Otherwise make sure there is not an installation error and the secondary o2 sensors are properly in place and functioning. Always nice to have a vag-com as well to differentiate a sec o2 code versus inefficiency code.
