Moving on... and back again!
Bought a cabriolet today! Whoohoo! Moving the goodies to it once it arrives and then selling the sedan. I hate to get rid of it, best all around car I have ever owned. Would NEVER get rid of it if it weren't for the open top, but can't afford to keep them both. REALLY looking forward to hearing it with no top; the only 90-degree crank V8 that comes close is the CLK Black, but that is closed roof only and no back seats, and an auto tranny to boot. I think the RS4 cab may possibly be the best sounding V8 of it's type anywhere. Need to hear a new Maser GranCabrio in person, you know, just to be sure

I bought a very low miles yellow car out of Miami. Working to get it on the truck today. Yellow would not have been my choice - I like it on the sedan but I am not as big a fan in the cab - but the wife was insistent. But if she is excited about the car, then I am too. I feel bad for the original owner: 3000 miles with a Milltek exhaust, 30k below MSRP. That's $10 a mile!

same place that has the black RS4 cab for sale on ebay I assume? I saw that too. Yellow isnt my thing but you have to do what pleases the wife in the end. Just be glad she likes the RS4 to begin with. Mine isnt sold on it yet. Best of luck with it; looked very nice in the photos

Thought I would relay my thoughts on the cabriolet vs. sedan. I have read the cab really gives up a lot to the sedan in terms of drive. I don't think it is near as bad as described. Yes, you can tell the chassis is not as stiff, but in comparison to most other convertibles, it's very good. I think the dash and instruments look a bit more special in the cabriolet. The lines of the car are better with the fixed roof too. Other losses are the rear visibility through the small window and of course two doors is a hassle if you are used to 4 (duh). I was surprised that the seats are not as good. There is not quite as much side bolstering.
But with the top down, much of this is forgotten. The engine is just as fluid, the gearbox is just as crisp, and the sound is even better. I think we are going to like it!

Enjoy. I agree the Cab is one of the best sounding cars out there. Here is mine: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1A8YfgbtlA
I find it wobbles around a bit, but I come from the Jag XKR which I'm told is VERY good. I've never been in another convertible so I can't compare.
My thoughts are, if you don't track your car, or only do a drive day once a year, go the Cab. It's a great everyday car.

OMG! The Tubi on the cab is absolutely unreal!!!!! This may be the best sounding OHC 90 degree crank V8 on the planet!!!!!
I have the rear cans on a Milltek that I will be happy to sell to someone cheap, but I can't honestly recommend them .
Also, the H-pipe is pretty sweet. No drone, not as much volume as Tubi, but I think it has a nice sound.
