My 08 arrived at the dealer today, still has shipping blocks. They said they could have it ready

...mine was ready on a Tuesday, but the dealership is 300 miles from my house, so I had to wait until the weekend. It was the first off the boat in Houston....late May last year, so everyone wanted to test drive it. Fortunately my sales guy was able to put it in the showroom and keep the vultures at bay.

On an order? The mileage should absolutely not exceed a few over what was at port
Talk to your service rep, tell them you want to go on the ride with the RS tech when they do the obligitory ride, if you are concerned.
This is not a lot car. Nobody under any circumstances should be let near the car unless they are an RS tech. I'd be surprised if his dealership had more than 2 of those anyway, if even that many.
