My Camping RS4 vs GTO
Coming back from a camping trip, with the RS4 loaded up with gear, coolers, left over beer etc... The back was about 2in lower than the front and the car was 100% covered in dust. (lol) He was alone and my gf was with me.
So coming out the mountains (of mexico) I noticed this GTO as I come up behind him. He's in the fast lane with 1 car in front of him. The car moves over to the right and he punches it as do I. We pretty much match speed perfectly for awhile I do not gain and he does not either. Eventually he moves to the right lane and lets off and I blow by.
2nd run, this time I'm in front and he's behind me. I'm in 4th @ 5000rpm and I punch it so does he. He immediatly gains maybe 1-2ft and gets pretty close to my rear (I'm guessing thats his torque doing that). Then we pretty much stay even for awhile and eventually I started to pull slightly and we shut down around 140mph.
Both races where uphill too.
No clue which GTO it was, he completely debadged it. We were also at 2000-3000ft elevation.
Could it have been the 6.0L? Or given it was so even, was the 5.7 and I was just too heavy to blow him away?
Either way guy was cool, rolled down his window and said "your car is fast as ****" but the funny thing was he had no shirt on, maybe thats why it was so close, he saved all that weight.
That's why I love the RS4, load it up for a camping trip and hit 140mph on the way home. hahah

The 6.0 has a rear valence more like ours, with big dual exhaust tips. The 5.7...
has two pipes out the left-hand-side. The 6.0 also has red calipers versus grey/unpainted on the 5.7, and the 6.0 has big hood scoops/vents that you can't miss. Both models will hit 140+ mph.

It was the 6.0 then. Super impressed with the RS4!
Given his torque and RWD he should have cleaned me up with all my extra weight.
Think the magnaflow did give some good ponies.

well at least you started in the right gear
i 'raced' a bmw 750 the other week and i started in 3rd @ around 4k rpm when my nose was at his rear quarter....
i jumped to a point where we were about level but then i didnt pull an inch on him up to 100
shoulda started in 2nd obviously but those big displacement engines definitely do help the competition especially from a rolling start

The 5.7 will do 60 in the mid 5s. The 6.0 is slightly faster. You'll want to watch out for...

We've tested it in around 5 flat to 60. Not bad looking, either. The interior is very audi-esque.
