My next mod is in the preliminary design stage...
These two drawing show different angles to the design. It will be built to the latest FIA rules to meet the Rally/Touring car rules.
I have asked for a special "NASCAR" style anti intrusion side bars on the left side and we are still waiting to see what an inspector will say about it. The right side would have regular strait pipes in an X shape coming down to protect the right side of the car. I f they don't allow the slight bent on the left side (like all Porsche GT3 RSRs) then I'll just go for the strait pipes on the left side too. The two reasons for this is more safety in case of a T bone on the driver's side and more room for the driver and the seat making it easier to enter and regress from the cockpit.
The roll cage will be welded in many places to the actual chassis making it a lot stiffer than a normal cage and basically transforming the car into a tubular car... Hello handling!
