Default My results from drag racing last night

I went drag racing at Raceway Park last night for the first time with the RS4 and only my second time ever. I ended up running a 13.5 @ 103mph as my best run which was also my first. I was able to get my 60' down to 1.9s for the later runs but I miss shifted into 3rd gear both times and ended up with slower runs. I put 4 gallons of Sunoco GT100 in the car just when the gas light came on and I don't think the car adjusted to it until I was nearly back home.

I think the first run I launched at around 3000-4000 rpm, it all happened so fast I'm not 100% sure. The later runs I launched at around 4500rpm. The car never bogged down but I never got the tires to chirp and just take off like I have on the street with 5500 rpm launches.

I'll have to go back later this year and try to get a good launch and good shifts all in the same run.

Here's a link to a youtube video of my best run.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsVN7WP__PY</a

Default ...did you say 5,500 r launches cuz if you do this, well..... :>|

RS4 ain't bulletproof and if the tires aren't slipping off the line, something else is.....

Default I think you can gain a bit on the launch, 1.7-1.8 should be possible which will pick up a few tenths

at the end.

103 mph is a bit weak on the trap speed, was it hot and humid out?

It can be hard on the track because the prepped surface is more sticky than the street...

Default Times seem very low. I ran my A4 at Raceway Park today and here are the results.

R/T .133
60' 2.160
330' 5.971
1/8 9.071
MPH 79.84
1000 11.694
1/4 13.893
MPH 101.33

On 93 Octane with a 3k Launch. First time at the track. All i have done to the A4 is Chip/Exhaust/CAI/FMIC. 2500 in performance. My dad ran the RS4 at Raceway park last year and ran a 12.8@109MPH with a 1.7 60' on 93 so you have alot of room for improvement. I hope you had as much fun as me.

Default Just had an Audi tech confirm I have the faulty fuel pressure sensor...

Confirming the dead spot I was feeling was real. Hopefully a month from now with a fully functioning car and some practice I can get down to around 13s.

Default Does a faulty fuel pressure sensor throw a CEL?

If not, how does one know if there is a fault wth the fuel pressure sensor?
