Default Need help please with the black rear license plate thingy...

I don't have a pic but, behind the rear license plate there is a black plastic thing. After removing the torx screws it still doesn't come off. It feels as if its glued on but that doesn't make any sense to me. Anyone know how to remove it. I want to cut a notch out for my rear lidatek. TIA.

Default I know that others have removed it without issues. While your at it you might

want to take a saw to it to narrow it to the same width as US license plate. I could never understand why Audi made it wider than the US plates. European plates are even narrower.

Default IIRC, double-sided tape is used in addition to the torx screws

carefully, start from one corner and gently remove.

i used a bandsaw to trim the black plate holder so it would hide behind the license plate.
