Anyone ever have an odd faint electronic beep like noise from the center of the engine? I had the car checked out last week and the tech could not replicate the noise. The strange noise occurred a total of 3 times over the last month or so (car has 1000 miles). Fortunately, I was lucky enough to capture one beep or whatever the noise is on my digital camera. After retracing my steps the only common item is that it happens only after driving the car and when it is parked/off. It will last for 7-10 minutes and has an interval of roughly 2 seconds. Again, the noise appears to be coming from the center of the engine. Attached is the sound clip, I edited the file to replicate the interval for four occurrences. Another theory was that it may be a vacuum leak noise? Any help or insight would be appreciated.<ul><li><a href="http://www.profepark.net/rs4b.wav">http://www.profepark.net/rs4b.wav</a</li></ul>

In some units, when the system is configured incorrectly, it beeps to tell the installer they f'd up

There is no doubt it's coming from the engine. Nothing to do with nav or anythign inside the cabin.

Anyone else think this sounds air/vacuum/pressure related not electronic/mechanical?

Sounds almost like an electronic beeper. Installed any aftermarket electronics?

He has like 1000 miles its brand new and stock.
