well, I have to say again that I drove one and was somewhat impressed
the sound on start up...far better than the RS4, more on the line of a resonated milltek, but a great sound. the sedan, it was actually very good looking in my opinion, as much as I hate to say it. The coupe looks like crap and the roof buldge only looks good from inside the car looking out....fits in well on a 66 charger, but leave it off this class of cars...
the interior?? definitely a let down.
the drive?? feels a little lighter than the RS4 and the powerband felt to come on a little earlier
all in all, simply a lateral move from the RS4, and in some regards a step down...no AWD, shi% interior, I think the RS4 looks much better.....it is so close in performance, i don't think your butt dyno can tell a difference. It is not a better overall package than the RS4. I would not trade my 2 year old RS4 straight up for a new M3...
BUT..i have to say, as much as I wanted to hate it, I did not...It is a great car in its own right.

All these cars, C63, M3, RS4 are all supercars, all desireable.......
They each have certain strengths and certain weaknesses that tailor to individual needs, but you really can't call any one "better" than the other.
Remember, however, that the M3 was originally slated for release as a 2007 model. I suspect it was delayed in order to make a car that would indeed be able to better match what the competition had put out.
The disappointment for some has been that even though the car is 2 years newer, it only matches the RS4, it doesn't surpass it.
