sticky glue in with the rubber? ;-) Only got to drive them back to the office this morning but in that short drive I tried pretty hard to get them to break loose on some tight turns. No way would they do it; the increase in lateral G's is pretty cool. They might have 5 miles on them and they have a smooth ride, no road noise and a 2X increase in the gravitational effect. I got 10K+ out of the PZ's so at 140 tread wear I am guessing I should get about 6K out of these. I will warn anyone considering these that there is NO EXTRA ROOM, do not try to squeeze a 285 onto that rim or under the car. It took two guys 1.5 hrs fighting to get the tires to seat on the rims and they know what to do. I will try to post some before and after pics this PM.

1.5hrs of fighting.. Does that mean that my local audi dealer wont be able to mount the tire ???

Default Hmmm....your statement worries me a little......

Must be quite a task to pull in a 275 tire onto a 9" wheel with those ultra short 30 series sidewalls. Anyone try 265/35. That would be only a 7mm increase in rolling diameter as compared to 13mm decrease with the 275/30's.

Why do you care so much about rolling diameter?

Default I did not use my local audi dealer as he wanted $75 each.........

I used our local Autocross sponsor who is a (Tire Dealer) and he is very familiar with putting oversized low profile tires on but he said it is always a struggle. He was also only $25 each to balance and mount tires that I supplied. I'm a cheap skate and wanted to save the extra $200 the dealer was going to charge me. I am sure a dealer could do it but you just need to warn them that it may take awhile to get them to seat.

Default Speedometer/odometer readings........

and just overall fit in the wheel well. I'm more concerned about pulling in those short side walls onto the minimum recommended wheel width and if it is such a difficult install, whether it's worth risking damage to the wheel. I bet it looks badass though!!

Default <Pics inside> Who looks at the Speedo anyway? I just listen for the K40 to go.....

off and tell me it's time to slow down; it works for me. I do understand the issue with the odometer but even over the life of the car it is still a very small %. I bought the car for performance and I plan to squeeze out every drop ;-)

I think they look good but that's my opinion, some of you may be far more concerned with looks than performance. If you are not having trouble putting all the power down in the twisties and you don't track/autocross then you just don't need them IMHO. Stick with the 255's.
