No, there are rumors of new rs5's being made over in Europe if I am correct. Its supposed to have a better air intake system and a couple more tweaks to make 450 hp. RS4 are currently discontinued... for a couple of years.

What he is saying is that there will be no B8 RS4, period. That is also what I have read in various British magazines.

I've heard a similar rumor but we'll see. Only time will tell.

Well that will cinch it for me. Mine is in for service (replacing the MMI under warranty) and I am driving a new A4 with the 3.2 V6. I have not had the opportunity to drive a car as sterile as our minivan in a long time. To think that it would be an even trade is laughable to me. People pay extra money for cars like this? I cannot even hear the engine. At least I found the sport setting on the slush box, or I might have opened a vein in frustration.

I will have my RS4 for a long, long time.

Hehe, hahah !!!

Very well said.

Wife kept pestering me about a minivan, i kept placating
with the BMW X5 6-speed or Cayenne GTS 6-speed.

Finally, i picked the king of minivans, 260hp VTEC at the
front, understeer understated

Honda Odyssey Touring is the only driveable minivan out there,
still a very far cry from a Volvo V70R, S4 Avant, or 535xi Kombi,
sadly the only 6-speed AWD half-enthusiastic family rides out
there. Standing taller are the X5, and Cayenne GTS, halfbreeds
for the potbellied drivethrough gang.

Looking at the current Audi S/RS line-up you can get S3, S4, S5, S6, RS6, S8, TTS, TTRS where RS5 is for sure confirmed, it just feels Audi is cranking up the heat and production rate on its performance line-up , I would be surprised if we don’t at least see a RS4 Avant unveiling in a year. At the same time I’m not sure about a RS4 sedan since that would pretty much compete with the RS5?

Cranking up yes, but shutting out the enthusiast driver, fewer and fewer manual transmissions.

Not only that, but in the US, we don't have the S3, the RS6, the TT-RS and will likely not see the RS5 either. Audi does not want to bring these cars here because it fears they won't sell. The same way lazy people don't want a stick shift anymore. What can Audi do to entice people to buy these cars?
