Re: OT but the R8 is seriously overpriced...
I saw one the other night at Stevens Creek Audi in San Jose. It is a beautiful car but the base price was $118k and with options and gas guzzler, $134K. Ouch. I'd buy a GT3 long before I'd pay $134K for the R8. Maybe with a V10 it is worth $118K with options. And then of course there was the ridiculous $50K markup for a total of $184K. Insane.

Funny, because the perspective on the R8 forum is that it is under-priced.
Personally, at MSRP, it is probably priced about right to sell Audi's stated goal of a few hundred a year. I do not think anyone is consistently getting much more that $10-15K over MSRP and I suspect that the R8 will sell at MSRP within a few months. The R8 is a great car, but at that price point it has some worthy competitors.
