Default Odd question - does the air recirculation button on your car do anything ?

The re-circ button on my car seems to make absolutely zero difference whatsoever. On my old S4 your could hear or sense a baffle or flap move positions and the fan often blew harder, or softer as necessary. Does this same behavior happen on the B7 cars ?

Default Mine seems to recirculate semi-hot interior air to take the vent air from warm to cool (not cold)

The underpowered A/C is probably the worst feature of the car. The RS6 was just about as bad and I think it is an Audi thing.

Default Can't say I have any complaints on the performance of the system. It seems to work fine and cools

the car relatively quickly. It's been fairly hot here in Denver lately, but nothing like Arizona & Texas etc. I was just curious more than anything.

My a/c is plenty strong in 90+ degree heat, cant say the same for the a4 loaner.

Default I have to keep my A/C on all the time or it gets too hot...no matter the temp outside.

Whatever happened to a regular vent that brings in the outside air? I hate to use the a/c all the time when it's 60 degrees outside, but if it's not on, the hot air from the engine is too much to handle.

Works OK on mine - press it and the smells from the smelly diesel in front of you go away.

My car does not have that problem at all... for lows outside temps I just press the "econ" button.

Default yeah...that's what I do but...

then have to set the temp really low so it doesn't blow heated air. just a few extra steps when all I want is air from the outside without setting the temp. Oh well. not a big sacrifice. Now if I can just get my car back from the shop with a new sunroof. My old one didn't want to close.
