do i need to reset it with vag?

Default If you do a vag check and clear the codes they will appear again...

The ones for the driver and passenger side airbags will not because that is all those resistors are fooling the car into thinking it has. The resistance pad on the passenger seat padding is the reason I believe that that light in the instrument panel remains on. You could remove the one from the seat you previously had or purchase a new one from audi.

Default Clear the codes with Vag Com and you should be ok

Once you've done that, post some pictures for us to see...

Default Correct - the pad in the pass seat sets the main dash light off - you can remove it

and install in the race seat but cannot reinstall it in the stock seat. from Audi the sensor is only avail as part of the seat rebuild kit and cost around $500.

Default i had eurotech clear the codes at their shop. NO LUCK! this is lame. confirmed that the resisters

are working because the seat airbag code didn't come back. What I got which was expected was the seat pressure switch for passenger seat and two others for both passenger and driver seat belt switches.

So what you're telling me is, all you did was install those resisters and the air bag light that is right above the RPM gauge went off????? I don't care about the passenger seat one.
I'd like to see a picture of your resisters.
Anyone who succesfuly has gotten the red airbag light above the RPMs to be gone, post a pic of your clip set up.

What am I missing here? Anyone in so cal that can take a look at this for me?

You have to code your seats in vag. Something like germany. Where they have no seat airbags.
