I'm in the process of finding out about weight and brake caliper clearance. $450ea. so about the same as stock wheel. As beautiful as the stock wheels are, i think I do like these more.

Not feeling it...
Hate to sound elitist, and I love many of the Axis Wheels (great quality, by the way), but if I were changing wheels on a German car, I'd feel a bit better going a bit higher up the food chain in lines of wheels.
Perhaps IForged, HRE, BBS, Kinesis, OZ, etc., as at the very least, most of these companies offer custom offsets and will allow a more aggressive fitment.
Have a look at my old M3 (for which a custom wheel was built)<ul><li><a href="http://item.slide.com/i/uid=RDp_DcjydYaavNPnAZdVMbJXrqt27CVlZMpw9oGZTXPhqq VTFuYPlWtcqssCSkYQ0GQi7pObKAE">http://item.slide.com/i/uid=RDp_DcjydYaavNPnAZdVMbJXrqt27CVlZMpw9oGZTXPhqq VTFuYPlWtcqssCSkYQ0GQi7pObKAE</a</li></ul>

Skip...
You can only get the 19x9.5 Decade with the Maxis lip which means too much lip (3 1/4 inches!) in the front with the same amount of lip in the rear--that won't look too good on an RS4, IMO.
The weight is 27lbs ea.
I've seen these wheels as low as $285 ea, BTW.

Re: Not feeling it...
Craig... Will the Axis wheel have same quality and strength as the Racing Hart wheels on the Mazdaspeed Miata? My son is thinking is of downsizing to 16 or even 15" from the OEM 17 of his Miata. What is your recommendation? We do not like exterme low profile tires because they remind me of a big person with "skinny" legs.

Honestly, I never heard of Axis before......
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/561/progressivmea.jpg"></center><p>
Was just browsing and they caught my eye. I actually like these the best. Similar to RS4 stock style but should be around 20-21lbs if fitment is available. Volk ProgressivME. Forged, one piece.
I basically need two sets of wheels, one mounted with winter tires and one with the stock/summer tires. Don't get me wrong, I think the stock wheels are beautiful but I'm just trying to figure out what is best. I'm thinking there might be a handling benefit to cutting 7-8lbs per corner. HRE and Iforged are always options, I know that. Just trying to see if there is anything "off the shelf" that would be just as nice. I have always been partial to BBS, but at least so far according to the tirerack, they only have wheels in 8.5" width, and I was hoping for 9 or 9.5x19". Do you know differently?

Generally speaking...
The more spokes, the stornger the wheel, depending upon the type of material used.
To be sure, check the manufacturer's load rating of the wheels and keep in mind that all wheels sold in the US have to meet a minimum standard set by the DOT.
I can tell you if the strength is comparable to the Racing Harts, as there are many variables, including tire size, wheel size, type of metal, etc.
I CAN tell you that Axis has a good reputation and has been selling wheels for drifting applications for some time...I'd have confidence in them.
I can also tell you that I had a set of RH's on my wife's Lexus GS400, which I often tracked. After 4 years, I finally bent one on a giant pot hole on La Cienaga.
If you're thinking of tracking the car, be careful...wheels used for track duty have a finite service life and endurance.
