over a month ago I posted about hitting a curb and bending the wheel and suspension. The dealer had
the suspension repaired within a few days but when I got the car back I noticed just a slight noise at 75mph that became a bit louder when I weighted the wheel and softer with unweighting. I thought most likely a wheel bearing so i called the dealer and they ordered one. My car was still driveable but I had to wait several weeks for the bearing to arrive, apparently they are unique to the RS4. Today it was installed, its great to have the car back to normal. Very happy with the service department at Van Dyn Hoven Audi, Appleton Wisconsin. The service manager is good and very knowledgable. Dealer had a phantom RS4 and a black S6 on the showroom floor. I thought having a V10 would mean even more engine hanging out over the front axle but its a very compact V10.

What happened if you didn't know it's the bearing? Would they know what to do...
I hear a lot of dealers just replace parts until they get lucky.
Glad to hear yours is back to normal.

I don't know, maybe would have just started replacing cv joints etc. but I was pretty sure it was
the bearing and they agreed when I described the noise to them. I've been very impressed with their service dept. They just ordered the part no question and added it to my insurance claim.
