Default Parallel parking bozo

For the second time I have scratched my passenger side wheels by contacting the curb while parallel parking in a reasonably tight spot. It is so easy to do this with the low profile tires. Ouch! Anyone know of a way to fix the rims, or is it new rims vs. gouged rims... Idiot. Cheap source for these expensive rims? Remedial parking class. Gary

Do you have the mirror set to dip in reverse?

I believe there is a certain type of sandpaper that you can smooth out scratches and get something like 'euro rim paint' which is a silver color that you can touch up ding spots.

That's just off the top of my head, if you look more into that let me/us know how well it worked out. I have a small little ding I want to get out too (I don't even know how it got there!.. I'm the most **** driver @ parking).

Default ask you dealer...

they probably have a company that fixes the rim on the spot to look as if nothing happened.

Default dealer

talk to your dealer as star607 said I know mine does stuff like that thru a local shop at the dealership while they service your car.

Default My dealer has a guy that does it for $60 a wheel. My wife curbed one at a....

drive-thru. You can't tell, no matter how closely you look, where the ding was. I would check with the dealer, they will have some leverage with the person doing the repair if it is not up to your expectations.
