People who have RE-11s on your car....
Any tips for getting them (the 275/30/19 ones) mounted to the OEM wheels ? The dealership tried and couldn't get them on even though they were able to get the same sized RE 01Rs on last summer.

Tirerack is a great website. Great prices and everything. I had to get a tire replaced because of the New Jersey potholes out here, and the audi dealership close to me wanted to charge me $80 more than what tirerack had listed. So I called the dealership and said look ill buy the tire off tirerack and bring it somewhere that will put it on for me for cheaper, and they lowered their price by 60 bucks ($20 for labor). Thanks tirerack.com!

See below link to thread on AZ...
I posted this exact same question on Feb 12 as soon as I picked up my RE11's 275.30.19s - my solution was discount tire w/ a corghi machine. No problem mounting - it was quite the task seating them on the rim (had to inflate to 95-100psi to get the tire to seat).

you need a shop that has a corghi machine. these people are the only ones that mount my tires. the wheels are never touched unlike the other machines.

cool piece of equipment.
I am trying to locate some shop that uses one of those in the New England area preferably CT, NY, RI area. I have had no hits.
Edit I may have found a place.
Oronoque Mobil Services Station

I have to check it out...

See this is what scares me. Sometimes grunt work leaves scuffing and scratches on the wheels. We shall see.
Peabody is indeed a drive. But sometimes I hang out in Plymouth MA so it might not be so bad.
Thanks for input.

Just got home with my new ones, back to stock size. Glad I did it. These are fatter than the numbers say, they look as wide as the 275 Bridgestones that were on it. They are a smidge taller - my speedo works correctly again. Need to watch that, as I no longer have a safety cushion.
It's hard to compare them since my old tires were shot. But these are really, really nice tread.

These are my choice as well to replace the PS2s. Seeing the comments here, I will stick with the stock 255 with stock wheels.
Has anyone had them on a track? Temp or pressure recommendations?
