Default Poll: Aftermarket wheels on the RS4, yes or no:

Pro:
Unique appearance/ Lower weight

Con:
Stock wheels are already hot and hard to beat/Makes car recognizable as the RS4 -and this is a good thing

Default Yes, the search for aesthetics combined with low weight and our pattern makes it tough though.

So far, I like your HRE choices that you've posted. I'm not the biggest fan of busy looking multi-spoke wheels, I prefer 5-6 spoke wheels, but on the RS4, most of them don't look good at all, they make the car look top-heavy.

Also, I feel that the wheel finish should closely match the silver tone of the trim on the car, I would never get black or titanium wheels, for example, with my car.

Yes, 18" for better performance and WAY better tire selection

weight reduction is the only good reason, IMHO.

Default I'm actually thinking about the face in phantom black and the rim in silver to match trim....

If I went with a multi-piece wheel. Otherwise, silver for sure.

Default That might be nice, of course it also depends on the car color

since I have a Sprint Blue with silver trim, the car color might be too light for (mostly) black wheels.

I think if you have yellow, red, or obviously black, then a black wheel would look better, IMO.

Default My car is Phantom black so I was thinking of a color match on the wheel face.....

Of course, this too is a color dependent thing. Color match with Sprint Blue probably wouldn't look so good.

Default Eeeeew, Sprint Blue wheels would be cheesy.

I so wanted phantom black, it's one of my favorite colors, for any Audi. I was close to getting an S5, and I only wanted it in phantom.

Not enough upside to justify costs unless you can assign the stockers to a winter setup.

Default Already have a second set of stock wheels with winter tires.....

As it is, the RS4 is no longer my daily driver, and that is the reason I'm considering some expensive mods. Anyway, justification of cost is not an issue, because there is no way to justify spending $6000+ on custom forged wheels. It is pure wretched excess.

Here's another option. Again, I would do a phantom black wheel face with silver painted rim. 19x9 wheel weighs 20.7lbs.

wheel
