Poll for track junkies...Magnesium or aluminium?
Same sizes - 19 x 9.5 ET25 but one in Mg and one in Al. Would you be willing to spend the premium (approx 2.5x the price) for magnesium on a dedicated track use wheel?

forged aluminum would be fine. I can't make sense in spending huge $$ for track wheels...
that are going to be abused and have brake dust deposited on it on a regular basis.
The weight savings per dollar benefit of magnesium just doesn't make sense on a car that's going to feel heavy on slower corners no matter what you do to it.... but I guess there will be a few out there that should be willing to save unsprung weight no matter what the cost.
btw, are you planning on doing 18x9 or 18x9.5 fitments as well? I'd be more interested in those because of the better selection of R-comp tires, and possibly even full-on slicks like hoosiers for those who want to try.

Go with aluminum... a hardcore track wheel would likely be an 18". The 19" could be dual purpose
Personally I think magnesium is a bit overkill for those prices, and I spend plenty of time at the track.

I'm keeping the Ceramic Brake option in mind as well...If the RS4 measurements are the same as
the Gallardo Ceramics, 19's are required to fit over the brakes.

I have on my agenda a call to Michelin and to Hoosier this week...
In regards to an R-Compound in 275/30-19.
Michelin will do it if we can prove there is worldwide demand for at least 200 tires.
The magnesium is not so much for the weight savings, but for addtional strength. That said I would only recommend it for track use as it's a little too brittle for long term street use.
