Default question about the engine

I had a question I haven't been able to find an answer to and was hoping you guys might be able to help me out with the answer.

I was driving along having a blast as always and I was up around 7500rpm in 2nd. I was just going to shift into 3rd and maintain as high revs as possible but I shifted too slowly and the engine went to 8000 for about 2 seconds while not quite in 3rd gear (had not fully engaged the clutch).

Oops, bad shift that time. What was the smell coming out of the engine? It smelled like a burnt fuse or something...

Do you know what that was?

Yup. Try a 4000rpm launch and see if it smells the same (I'm not kidding)

Default Only 120?

5th is fun when you wind her up. I've seen 160+ indicated. And GPS says that my car is about 3 mph high.

Default I went 130 in a civic once, and ran a Ferrari off the road...

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/115590/image124.jpg"></center><p>
but that was when I was young and didn't think twice. Heck, didn't think once!

It's kind of like candy. You know how when you were young you really wanted to chew on Big League chew or some jaw breakers and then one day when you could afford it all you never bought it ever again?

That's what I'm talkin' about.

Yesterday I ran a Ferrari off the road. It was on the Bay Bridge and driving in and out of traffic fast trying to get ahead. So I engage it in a race in traffic which really put him at a disadvantage but that's how it is on the streets but he didn't know the road as well as he would have liked and he tried to get ahead but instead was forced to take an off ramp he hadn't anticipated while I drove off into the sunset.

Yeah!
