36.6% are in the western US, with 27.5% in the Pacific coast states.
...based on currently available info. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the registry for the geographic distribution.

RS4 registry

It always suprised me how well Audi did in CA...
I always expected them to do well in the northeast but I am guessing on the western coast the mountains help them a lot. I dunno just suprised me since that spread is pretty consistent with the us sales numbers for all audi's.

I think they've been doing a lot better there recently.
I'm from SoCal originally, and go back there to visit over the holidays every year. Up until a few years ago, it was somewhat rare to see an Audi. Much more common over the last couple of years. BMW and M-B still dominate the market though. The 2 highest volume M-B dealerships in the US are both in south Orange County, about 15 minutes away from each other.
Lots more Audi's up in the Bay Area and of course further north...Portland, Seattle.
