Did you post this over on the two S4 boards? Because...
I think you'd be jumped. The S4 is more than adequate. The RS4 is a high performance car and a step up, to be sure. It's the new darling, and deservedly so, IMO.

I've got some of that envy, but...
1. I love my Avant...I can drive my S4 more frequently, weekend trips etc, than I ever could a sedan.
2. S4 is a fine poor-man's alternative. Price/performance ratio is pretty dang good.
Seeing a fair amount of RS4's on the road here in Chicago though, and they look awesome.

Don't be an a-hole! You're not even driving one yet, bub. Geez...
Listen drop the smug and immature attitude, learn about the car, try and talk some technical aspects other than "what's the big deal"... AND don't be so insecure that you can't handle the truth. See ya.

What are you currently driving? Also...
what do you know about the car you are supposedly about to purchase? I'd like to hear something of substance, unlike what I've seen in your other posts on the subject.
By the way, not only do you totally disregard oil consumption issues, you seem to embrace it. Good luck with that!
