Should I consider trading in my 2 year old RS4 with 20K miles for a new 08?
Deal will cost me my trade and somewhere between 15-16k. My 07 is Avus Silver and the 08 is Sprint Blue. I purchased the 07 used and had zero issues. I kinda figure for the 15K I would be getting a new car in a color I love with an additional 2 years of warranty and 20K less miles.
Could I do better on the price?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a plan...
Getting brand new, with 2 more years of no worries, and the color you want, I'm with you. I look at cars the same way...keep them from aging, get what you want when the opportunity comes along.

Seems reasonable.
Roughly, i would say the '07 is worth about $50K-$53K trade-in and the 2008 is worth about $66K new. The deal is fair now. If you can get the difference down slightly, it would be even better (obviously). The color, warranty, new car factor would all make do it ASAP.

Keep it, add Stasis, alcons, milltek.....
I just don't know why you would dump 15k on the same car, albeit a different color and no miles. Add the Stasis and alcons, you'll have a better car for 8k.

So does it become a no-brainer if I can negotiate 14,500 and Audi Care?
FWIW - My 07 is in much better condition than the CPO'd Sprint Blue that I looked at earlier this week.

Does that number account for taxes
I always worry that taxes (sales + gas) adds up and is just wasted. I know you get credit for sales tax.
Unless you really want the color or some options that were only available on 08 (titanium etc), why do it? 20K miles isn't a lot.
Can't you buy audi care at any time?

i've considered it too...the only wildcard is that you're going from a zero issue car to the unknown
the only time i've been to the dealership is for the 5k, 15k, and 25k service...car runs better now than ever, so i'm leary of messing with a good thing. the only suggestion i would offer is to get an extended warranty if you plan to keep the car beyond 4yr/48k...it will probably pay for itself.

Couldn't agree more. It is a concern. I'm at the dealership as I type this and the Sprint Blue
is spectacular.
I'm going to get the final numbers and then think on it for 15 minutes or so. Don't want to make a hasty decision.

Pulled trigger.
difference of 14,800
Only thing I would change is this one has Ipod and no CD. But, I listen mostly to Sirius and my SD cards anyway. I just went out to pull my CDs out of my car and quickly discovered I only had 1 CD in there and it was my daughters. So I guess the Ipod will be OK.
