Skip Barber...have you ever been?
As my Christmas gift, Mrs. Snark got me a trip to the two-day high performance Skip Barber driving school at Laguna Seca on April 29-30th. I'm really looking forward to it! According their web site they have RS4s to drive there, as well as S4's, 911's, M3's, and 335i's.
I was wondering if anyone here was planning on attending that session, or if anyone else has attended the SB course before. What should I expect?
Thanks!

I've been there...
No Audi's when I went... exactly what cars you get depends on which school location you go to. At Laguna Seca they have Boxsters, a pair of 335i's (skidpad), an M3, a 996 911, and a 997 911; this was in November. No Vipers, see below...
Skip Barber as a whole is switching from Dodge to Mazda as their primary partner in 2007. So with Laguna Seca being Mazda Raceway expect LOTS of Mazdas by the time you get there--I saw the first shipment. They will probably keep the old cars around (although some are leased), but for details on exactly what you'll be driving I suggest you call beforehand to avoid any surprises.

I've been to their 3-day race school at Laguna and the 2-day advanced race school at Road America.
I'm hoping to race in a couple of the race series this year. Definitely the best money you can spend on improving your driving skills. I would like to go to the performance school to drive street cars around the track rather than open wheel race cars.

I've been there too.........
....learnt a lot - well worth the money. My biggest challenge was to control the right foot when leaving the circuit - cops always waiting like crocs for the thirsty wildebeast!

Snark...
I used to know a guy who went by "Snark" who was into 300ZX TT's, Porsches and Audis (in the late 90's, he posted frequently in 300zx forums).
It would be a great coincidence if you were him.
