Default so many little problems with this stupid machine!!!!!!!!!

I hate when little things dont work in the car and its been a ****ty day today!

1) XM radio keeps updating itself and keeps cutting out. What a POS. The B6 was 50 times better.

2) Car WILL NOT go into reverse in the morning. I have to let it warm up and THEN it goes into reverse.

3) Car hangs at 1.5k rpm, and then after 5- 10 mins will idle below 1k.

4) Car averages 9 mph for normal driving, 5.7 mpg when I beat the **** out of it. Very crappy in my opinion.

So many other little problems with the car.

Man I cant wait for my fcar and/or lambo.

Default These are not normal

1) I never have problems with XM. (only drops out when line of sight to satellite is obscured.)
2) Reverse is never a problem for me. First, however, can be slightly rough until the transmission warms.
3) Idle drops down after 10 - 45 seconds, depending on air temperature
4) Mileage in town never drops below 10 to 12 mpg.

Your numbers 3 and 4 may be related. Could be an O2 sensor problem, or a manifold leak.

Default good luck with that ferrari then...

... have you ever had a modern car that has been flawless, in your opinion?

i'm on my 6th audi. seriously, not one issue with any of them that wasn't instantly and freely rectified. and by "issue", i mean OnStar is red instead of green, etc. that's counting 3 S cars and 2 RSs, that get driven in a spirited fashion.

that's just my story and i'm sure others have experienced something different. but your story is not the norm either. i suspect reality is somewhere in the middle.

Default But there needs to be at least one negative car energy sink ...

... and the universe has designated you. The rest of us are grateful to you for being the one place where all car problems go to find a home.
