Disagree, it def proves something...
Besides the Stage 3 S4's and SC'd M3, it was the only car with 420HP.
Gears are my main mod, he has 4.10 gears as you know. Regardless, this notion that modded cars against stock cars proves nothing, is silly, every other enthusiast I know does not share your view, as plenty have been dying to see the comparo's so obviously they mean something.
So only stock vs. stock means something?
Stock vs. Stock no doubt the RS4 is king, to be fair it really depends on the level of the mod, a 1300K vishnu ECU, and added 2 lbs. of boost and the 335I is slightly faster.
A set of Dinan gears on the M3, 3.91's still taller than the RS4's, pullies, and an air filter (10HP if I'm lucky) and it's about even to 1 car, do to the level of those mods, I'd say that proves alot, IMHO.
If it was a supercharged M3 or a turbo upgraded 335I against the RS4 then you're dead on, but not at this level of mods, as the runs were very close.

my opening was directed towards Craig's post.....don't get offended. Yes, the RS4 was the only unmodded car...we just wanted to see how the cars compared. We'll do it again once the RS4 gets new software, DP's, and whatever else. This was just a few enthusiasts having fun, and how the cars stacked up....stock or not. It does prove that a 335i is faster with just a flash, and so forth. We assumed this beforehand......but nothing like real tests to find out. This post was in no way to degrade or put down the RS4....as we are all Enthusisasts and admire the car for what it is. Just wish it had a bit more power, especially for its mammoth weight.

I think we all loved the RS4 and wanted it for ourselves!
As an enthusiast I love these comparo's win or lose and most here do as well.
Agreed, and if the RS4 weighed 3400 lbs. like my M3, no contest.

agreed.....+87 HP does not make up for +500 lbs weight in RS4 to current M3.........
comparisons. It's a gorgeous car......just needs 500 or so Horses to move it imho

I would have loved to be there. I love these kind of fun runs.
Win or lose, doesn't matter. I would expect to be the slowest (well, maybe, considering all mods and 3650 lbs) but it just wouldn't have mattered. Sometimes racing a faster car is cool just to see and hear it perform. The Stage 3 B5s are always impressive to watch. Glad to see that this RS4 owner was cool enough to run the car and be a good sport about it even if he was the slowest car in the bunch by a little.
