Default Stasis Motorsport install experience

OK, I finally finished installing the MS kit with the remote canisters. On my S4, I installed PSS9s, so this is my second go at suspension on this chassis. As noted ad naseum, the kit is top quality. I have only done a shakedown run, so I cannot give a good review of the suspension, except to say that it is set exactly as it arrived and it feels really sweet! Alignnment tomorrow, VIR in 2 weeks, full report to follow.

The directions Stasis provides are pretty good, so I did not take pictures. As compared to the standard coilover installation I did before, this was a beeee-atch. Let me tell you, there were times I cursed those canisters. The suspension part is a breeze. I spent at least as much time locating and securing the canisters. The problem is that there are extra heat shields (for the RS4) and all kinds of crap in your way, and you have to fish those things through... It's hard to explain, but budget some time. It took me three days, with another set of hands about half the time. I have a lift, but to be honest the car was low to the ground most of the time, and it would go fine on jack stands. Of course, I could do it in half the time now...

I also have scales, so I corner balanced it. Jason at Stasis said that it would be difficult to do, as there are a lot of rubber bits to absorb adjustment. I did not find that to be the case. I think I could have chased it right down to the pound, but I got bored. Plus, it was close enough, especially for a 3880 pound daily driver. (This is empty - no driver - and 'bout a half tank of gas). I dropped it about 1/2 inch to about 26, balanced drop all around.

Default I had it installed at a STaSIS/Audi dealer...

Byers Imports in Columbus, OH. It was the first time the tech had tackled this suspension, and it sounds like he had similar trouble with the reservoir canisters.

It clips on top ECU #2, with that "half-pipe" portion pointing towards the passenger side of the car

Default Yellar. I think this will be my last on street rubber.

Probably going to get some dedicated track wheels this winter.

This is the lowest head count I have seen in 4 years. And gas is only $3.80 at VIR right now ($2.80 in town)!
