Default Talking lease with the dealer (which will remain unnamed to protect the innocent)

08 Audi RS4 - Daytona Gray - Premium Package
Deliver next Weekend
Money Factor .00375
36 Month Lease
12,000 miles per year (25 cents per mile for overage)
Purchase Price: $71,785 (Includes a 2k discount - retail is $73,785)
Residual: 46%
Money Factor: .00375
Residual Cost to Purchase (Calculated off retail): $39,843.

I will be doing a lease but am wondering what rates other people have gotten and who they have used to lease their RS4 - any other comments.

Please save the "Don't lease" comments as it does make sense for me to do it this way for tax purposes

Default There haven't been many recent leases here.

Bob W and I leased about 16 months ago. I looks like the residuals have fallen and the monthly payments have gone up about $150/mo since then. Some had good luck with leasecompare.com, but they no longer list the RS4. There is some general lease info in my sig that may or may not be helpful to you.

If you want to purchase the car at lease end, the AFS offer doesn't seem too bad (low residual). If you are going to turn the car in, I would shop around and look for a better monthly payment. Assuming good credit, you should be able to find something in the $1300/mo range with your $2000 cap cost reduction.

Default 2nd...definitely shop around, but....

...the dealer *might* not be willing to give you the car at that price if you don't use AFS for financing....and they might be less willing to give you free Audi Care or other freebies.

Default Money factor

I got a .00237 money factor on a lease quote, supposedly you multiply that by 2400 for the true interest rate. Lease terms similar to yours, 12k miles, 36 months, residual $38.5k, zero down.
