lol. . . some things don't go well together
when I think of a station wagon, it's Chevy Chase in the movie, "Vacation." Not a high performing vehicle racing soccer moms in their E55 wagons.

Exactly right, Avants are waaay more prevalent in Europe...
They buy avants, we buy huge gas guzzling suv's over here in north america.
Much better to drive on the road too, no monster truck rally's going down the highway

I find it strange to read comments like this on the RS4 forum. The original RS4 was an ........
It was ONLY an Avant. When the original RS4 came out it was the king, the most sought after Audi ever. We Audi people in the states drooled over it and wished and prayed they would bring it here. That car made performance Avants cool.

why do you find it strange? Just because the original rs4 was an avant doesnt make the new one good
looking in avant. I think the avant looks hideous. Just because its an rs4 and this is an RS4 forum doesnt mean everyone MUST be like wow that is so nice.

I'm not sure I ever said that everyone has to love it. Which is why I didn't respond to your post.
McGyver's comment wasn't regarding how the B7 RS4 looks, it was against the Avant as a performance car. Again, the original RS4 made the Avant style cool and acceptable as a serious performance car. Looks are subjective.
