Default Thoughts on every '08 S4 getting the RS4-style wheels?

I never really minded people going out and purchasing the wheels - those were the enthusiasts and a pretty small percentage of Audi owners. Putting them on the S8 as an option was OK too as this is a fairly limited production vehicle.

These wheels look great on every model I have seen them on. But now, with them on every S4 (along with being optional on several other models), I really worry that wheels are going to look tired, old, and commonplace well before their time. I'm not trying to be elitist, it is just disappointing that Audi is cannabilizing one of the signature features of the RS4.

https://forums.audiworld.com/s4b7/msgs/56047.phtml</a

Default I think they look a little lame in 18" size...but I never see S4s here anyway.

i think i've seen a B7 S4 3 times in the past 2 years. and another RS4 only once in the past year.

Default Just pushes me closer to finding a new set of wheels

for everyday use, and then using the OEM wheels for winter.

Default Agree. They don't have bulging look of the RS4 wheels.....

but it does suck. Of course Audi did this with the B5 RS4, so I'm not surprised here. One of the reasons I didn't go with aftermarket, and bought a second set of stock wheels for my winter tires was because I wanted the wheels to be recognized as the RS4 wheels. I'm in the same boat however....don't see too many S4's anyway.

Default Ah but I see tons of S4s around here. Great cars, I almost bought one myself one day, but I still

want somewhat of a distinct look. I guess I'll probably wait and see how many new 08 S4s I start seeing around. But if I do end up purchasing another set of rims + tires for the winter season and trips to tahoe, I sure won't be getting another OEM set, unless they're titanium, but they wouldn't look good with Daytona anyways

Default This is what Audi does and probably always will...

I knew it was just a matter of time.
