Default What did you find as the optimal rev for launching in 1st?

I have smoked the clutch several times before experimenting with the car.

When I do it right, the engine sounds awesome and the car pulls very hard with each upshift, staying above 5k revs / min. It's beautiful. The gears are just right.

On the other hand, I have noticed the clutch is pretty quick to slap me in the face with the burning clutch smell if I take too long trying to match revs.

Since I do not launch the car from 0mph, I have not experienced the total meltdown before.

At any rate, this hobby of ours is quite expensive but we certainly selected one super sweet car that has earned much well deserved accolade.

Default Please explain

Melted the clutch... meaning it really stunk up the place but still works, or melted the clutch meaning that it now always slips badly and you need to take it in for replacement?

Default I think he meant skid row

He was trying to get away from some panhandlers when he melted his clutch.
