Trigger Pulled
Like many others, I am a long time lurker, first time poster. After doing lots of reading, researching, and looking for many months on end, I finally found an Sakura grey RS4. It has been a longtime coming so I am rather excited for its arrival. I understand there are a handful of RS4 owners in the dc metro area, and am looking forward to meeting some of them.
Having moved recently to the dc area (despite growing up here many years back) from Vail, Colorado it has been a couple years since my last "Fun" car. I previously had a Dinan S2 e46 M3, a Dinan S 328ci, and very briefly a B5 S4. And while, I have always been fond of both Audi and Bmw, it seems in the dc area M class bmw's grow on trees and are given to every undeserving sweet sixteener on the block. So, this go round the idea of having something considerably more rare was a large impetus in my selection. Not to mention compared to its rivals (m3, c63, and to a lesser extent 911's) its far more subdued.
I am thinking I will clear corner the car (a process I am really not looking forward to.) and do H&R springs and sways to start and go from there. Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Nice first post - welcome and congrats! H&R springs are lovely but unfortunately messing with the DRC to install the springs won't be fun or cheap.

Agreed, the well voiced debate of springs with drc vs. coilovers. Its a shame, I like the engineering behind the drc setup but want a slightly lower ride height with less roll. I too, will most likely just end up doing some stasis SL's, spacers, and when when the time comes 275's and quietly join the herd.

Congrats. I think its Suzuka Grey by the way.
Don't fret over the clear corner, as it isn't that difficult. The hardest part is putting your bumper back on.
CanuckRS has a great thread on this.
I used this thread combined with his to do it
http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...oval-of-Bumper
Here is CanuckRS4's, but he sold his car so the photos are missing:

While you have the bumper off you may want to remove your reflectors and have them painted as well.
Vijay has an excellent thread on this here on AW. I did the same, but had my bodyshop prime them. I also didn't do it while they were on the car.

Took a long time but i finally posted some pics. Also managed to make it out to a couple of our local coffee and cars in Great Falls Va. and got to meet some other RS4 owners.
