TTS steering wheel pics
OK, I finally have pics of my TTS wheel. After much deliberation, I decided on the TTS b/c of the MF controls and the white stiching to match the interior even though i love the size and look of the euro RS4. Price wise this was waaay cheaper than the Euro RS and came with the airbag (approx $750 with airbag from ebay)...and while i really don't like the look of the stock TTS/R8 wheel by itself, I found the carbon fiber TID airbag cover that sealed the deal for me (even though this fits all RS4/R8/TT/RS6 airbag covers). I ordered the CF cover from ZMax and they initially sent me the small weave cover that matches the S4 and R8 interiors, but I had them swap it out for the wide weave. I think they only have one left in wide...and yes this wheel has paddles but they don't really bother me as much as it does for others...maybe i'll rewire to work with my cruise control or something else. pics below:

Re: is the center section inside the carbon part a cap or just a part of the original airbag
just a carbon fiber cover that sticks onto the factory airbag piece with 3M double sided tape, but the fit is tight and secure and feels like it's all one piece. It's well made.

Re: I like the shape, but the CF and red ring look out of place
The red does match the red in the gauge cluster and climate controls...but i've heard that comment before.

Wow - that carbon fiber piece will get stuck in your forehead in a crash
When your airbag deploys that carbon piece will come flying right at you. Definately a horrible idea.
Hopefully you can get a refund on that piece.
