Default Uh oh, the dreaded leaking shock syndrome...

...has hit my car. Hopefully my dealer will be able to repair this DRC issue shortly, but it has me thinking about the STaSIS Ohlins SL or MS suspension kit. I've been averaging 4 track days a year - is the Motor Sport suspension really worth the extra $1400 over the SL setup? We've heard lots of good things on this forum about the MS kit, does anyone have experience with the SL suspension? Anyone out there have experiences with both?

Default Service mgr at my dealer said that Stasis is 'Audi approved'

We didn't get into what that really meant but I assume that stasis components are covered under the warranty. I'd ask your dealer for more info.

Maybe if your DRC is complete ****e you could have your dealer install the Stasis SL's or MS's and not pay labor. Maybe? Perhaps? Probably not though...

Default I understand it's not, under cpo but what about mine?

Bought my car new. You're saying that my DRC is not covered after 12 mos? At least that'll give me an excuse to upgrade when it does fail.

first 12 mo only...CPO coverage might actually be better.

Default Well, for instance, Champion Audi in So. Fla sells Stasis cars

as a package with suspension, exhaust, etc. I think it depends on the dealer in terms of their acceptance of modifications. I doubt a dealer would warranty Stasis unless they sold it as a dealer package (like Champion).

Is this the same RS6 DRC problem? Same components? Same no-fix?

Default Correct. 12 mo coverage but dealer and Audi can/will cover under

"good will" warranty. I discovered failure at 13 months and 7,000 miles and dealer and Audi replaced 2 front struts free. I'm on my third set of front struts (free) and the system still doesn't work correctly. I've contacted Inskip Audi in RI which is a Stasis authorized dealer and have decided to go with the Stasis SL kit. The DRC set-up is junk IMO. Might be a clever engineering design, but if the dealer network can't get it to work after multiple visits, then it is no use to me.

IMHO if you are not into serious tracking go for the SLs.
