UPDATE on MTM's RS4 SC kit. WARNING the pricing will leave you speechless I'm afraid...
<b>This is from an official MTM press release dated July 23rd 2007.</b>
<b>"</b>Dear Sirs,
There will be a <b>delay</b> in delivery of the <b>limited edition</b> Compressor kit
for the Audi RS4 K530. The delay is due to the need for a fundamental
redevelopment of the charge-air intercooler shell for FSI Technology
and subsequent extensive testing and endurance test drives.
The Kits will be available for sale in the calender week 4/2008, after
all tests have been completed towards the end of 2007
The price for the Compressor kit is <b>44.870,00 EUR</b> plus 19% VAT and
requires aprox. 5 days installation, time priced at 2.600,00 EUR plus 19%
VAT.<b>"</b>
Well there you go...
I have asked my friend at MTM Canada to reconfirm the price because of the rumours that the kit was going to be around $25,000 USD (uninstalled). Perhaps this price was assumed because of the S4's SC kit being around that price.
At <b>44,870 Euros</b> or approximately <b>$61,400 USD</b> or <b>$72,000 AUS</b> (for our friend from down under) this kit IMHO will cater to only someone that wants a very unique RS4 and thus it will not be for general mass consumption! Figure another $4000-$5000 for the install and you've got yourself a 65K kit which basically means you could have bought two RS4s. However since this is a limited production kit, I'm sure they are going to sell them all.
I'm still waiting on the single mass flywheel info. But I'm sure that's not going to be cheap either.
Sorry for spoiling your Monday morning.

Like I said, they will most likely sell all their limited production. You know there are...
A lot of people in the world with lots of money that are willing to buy such a kit to make their RS4 very unique.
What can I say I would have liked to kit to be more accessible to all RS4 owners but it is not in my hands.

BTW, be a little more serious in your posts dude...
Duct tape won't cut it. At the very least use the better quality aluminium "speed tape"! :-)

Well, that would explain Hoppen asking for a $10K non-refundable deposit
I wonder if the two guys who put down deposits are aware of the final cost? If not, Hoppen has some 'splainin to do.
