V8 badged in North America?

well the RS4 badge is a model designator like 'accord' and 'camry' while the V8 badge....
is a ***** size designator... or perhaps just showing off.
No need to advertise what kind of engine it has. For example, nothing wrong with the 'AMG' badge on the rear of MB AMG cars because they are 'special' cars that demanded a premium, but the V8 Kompressor badges are just overdoing it IMO. We already know it's fast, no need to tell people what kind of engine makes it fast with badges on the bodywork as well.

To me, it's just as bad as putting an ABS badge on the centercaps of Pontiac wheels.
It's just cheesy.
But in the end, it won't matter anyway because all my cars are completely debadged save the rings front & rear.
