Default VAG-COM Time

Those guys at Ross-Tech have already been hard at work getting things together for us and our RS4's. (Thanks, Sebastian!)

Here are the changes I made to my car tonight, with the defaults values listed in case you screw up. :-) Most are the same as the B6/B7 A4/S4.

<b>Address 09 - Central Electronics</b>
<i>1023 default </i>
1021 enables high beam/fog, Euro parking lights (amber only when blinking)

<b>Address 17 - Instruments</b>
<i>23261 default</i>
23259 removes seat belt chime

<b>Address 46 - Central Convenience</b>
<i>11820 default</i>
11884 allows windows up/down with key FOB

<b>Address 76, Adaptation 10 - Park Assist</b>
<i>0000304 default</i>
You can set the following:
01: Volume of rear warning
02: Pitch of rear warning

Does anyone else have some others?

Default Can you please explain what you are doing and how?

What tool do you need to make these changes and where did you get this information?
Thanks

Default sparkhill is using the same device that the dealers use...

It is an ECU connector that allows a PC to communicate with your ECU in your car. You can clear codes, change codes, upload software (chip), etc... This is how the dealers (or you) communicate with your car to find out how she is doing.

Default Sure.

There is a company called Ross-Tech that makes diagnostic software for Audis that runs on a PC. You buy a cable and download the software and you are then able to log data and change some of the electronic features of your car. It functions similarly to the scan tool your dealer uses.<ul><li><a href="http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/index.html">Ross-Tech</a></li></ul>

hmmm.. will the dealer know that u have tampered with the ECU? Will this then void the warranty?

Besides that it's not exactly the same device, no this doesn't void warranty.

Default RS4 VAG-COM Oil temp?

Early on I saw pictures of the DIS screen showing oil temp at the bottom of the screen where an auto S4 would display what gear it is in. Has anybody looked to see what the coding is to enable that and whether or not us lowly S4 owners could use that coding to enable Oil temp? I would love to have oil temp on my MT '04 S4.

This is not a question of coding, but of the cluster software - sorry.
