Default Vibration

Hey guys,

I've been driving my RS4 for a few months now and I love it. But something I've noticed with the car...I have stock size rims/tires on, but when I'm driving slow/backing up while the steering wheel is turned to max, I can feel some massive vibration shooting up to the steering wheel. I've had the car taken in to the dealership and they said my upper control arms were shot, so I replaced them. Then out of curiosity, I took it to a local VW/Audi private mechanic, he spotted that the LF Knuckle was cracked and took pictures. Kinda shocked how the dealership didn't spot this when I asked them to do a suspension check. I'm wondering if this is the problem that is causing the vibration. I found the part and it's about $400 to replace. Any suggestions...

Thanks,

I've had a dealer miss a huge slit in my suspension hydraulic line that was throwing fluid everywhere, so that's not surprising. I can certainly see a cracked knuckle causing vibrations. Also if you are running spacers that are damaged at all, they can cause vibrations. As well is tires not properly balanced (All of which I've dealt with)
