******! But to them it is supply and demand
If you want the one that they have, you will have to pay for it(someone might) . Smarter idea is go go somewhere where they will sell at MSRP or order one at pre aranged MSRP.

Ha, I wish I could afford that car. I just wanted to sit in it and actually see one in person...
I graduate next week so I am officially broke. The sales guy just wouldn't leave me alone which suprised me because usually when I go to a dealership, I get ignored, go figure.
I was just really suprised, and I am sure if someone went in there offering MSRP they wouldnt turn it down. But a beautiful car, and pictures do not do that color justice.

They will usually spot and leave alone a colega aged person who may not look like he can afford. However, I suspect if you mentioned "graduation", that may have got his attention.

Re: as for pricing...
Who gives a crap? They are gouging on their lot car so anyone with any sense should find another dealership. These swines that play these games don't deserve people business.

Blowing smoke. I dealt with the very same issue
I bought the very first B6 S4 Avant in Southern California in August of '03 at McKenna in Norwalk. I called around to locate the car, and they told me it had a $10K markup in the window. But the salesman said "come on down, let's talk." When I stopped laughing, I informed him I lived 70 miles away and wasn't going to get up from my sofa to look at a car that was $0.01 over MSRP. He said he'd talk to his manager. 15 minutes later he called back, and said I could have it for MSRP.
When I got there, sure enough they had a $10K markup in the window. I drove it home for MSRP. They even gave me more for my '01 B5 S4 trade-in than I expected.
So basically, it's just a "if you're stupid enough to fall for this, we'll be happy to take your money" kind of deal.
