Just the pads? WOW...just looked them up on ECS and their $528 for the front.

Same here, just did it last week. I"m pretty sure this was the first and last time I had the dealership to do the breaks. I will get the pads on-line or from a 3rd party, and do the work myself.

1k for the break job does not make sense to me whatsoever. And mine was at 8k miles.

Default Looks like Carbotechs are $168 from PureMS

Am I missing something here?

Default you should have done it yourself....it's super easy.

if you can change a flat tire, you can replace the brake pads.

Yup, just last week. The rotors are still OK, though you can see the fairly pronounced grooves from the sensor contacts.

Default usually i would have done it, but I am so swamped right now

I didnt even have time to do my own tire swap so the dealer is doing it for me.
