this car has been 10x more reliable than my B6 was, it just needs more attention!

Default could not agree more...

I haven't heard of STOCK b5's dropping valves or the host of other issues in the B6 engine. Turbo's that are chipped or more well thats an expected failure. From just doing research over the last couple months a kit like AWE on a B5 is probably more reliable then a stock b5 (or B6) as long as you take care of it.
