Default Anyone traded up to an RS6 from the '04 S4 in here?

Lease is up on the 2004 - low mileage - immaculate condition - love it - but - 2004 RS6 has just become available for consideration.

Anyone switched from the S4 to an RS6 or know someone who has?

Thoughts appreciated!

Default Rad Doc or something similar

he went to an RS6.

Get a good warranty or just fork out 3,500 for a Ohlins suspension. Either way, you're gonna spend the money. And the later will keep you from going to the dealer for DRC issues.

Default Different cars, really

The RS6 is obviously larger, heavier. Better ride, yet handles well for its size. I found the B6 S4 unecessarily harsh. I mean the RS6 handles nearly as well (or better if you consider its larger/heavier frame), yet is not harsh.

More power, faster than the B6 S4 (and mine was fully decked out). More unique. Much better brakes. Overall better car I think!

OTOH, the RS6 is expensive to work on, so if you can get one with CPO, do so. Also, aim for lower mileage models. it would be worth the premium price, IMHO

(however, to be clear, its still slower and less fun to drive than my boosted E36 M3

Default Thanks

After seeing responses here and on Audizine I think it's best to keep the S4 since I enjoy track days - and the twisties ...

Thanks for the feedback!
