Default Audi Club Track Events - Anyone Done This?

Heya All,

I'm considering signing up for the Audi Track event on the last weekend of January and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. Is it worth the $400+? What do you learn/do?

Thanks in advance!

Default I assume that is the Laguna Seca event? It will be very well run.

It is very much worth the money. You will learn about your and your car's capabilities, as well as how to drive your car safely at highway speeds (and above).

Default All the ACNA events are worth the $

Decent instructors, a fair amount of track time and you get to hang with a bunch of hard-core audi nuts.

Default first day is usually classroom instruction, slalom, braking, accident avoidance

and then track time in the afternoon.

if i recall second day is almost all track time (and the inevitable waiting for your run group).

as the others have said, they're a lot of fun, especially if you've never been on a track before

Default One warning ...

Once you've attended one ACCNA track event, you'll be addicted. Be prepared for future $400 outlays. These track events are about the only way you can safely have fun learning the real capabilities of your great car. And you should find these Track Tips useful.

I wish Laguna Seca wasn't a 5000 mile round trip drive for me; I'd love to experience the Corkscrew.

Default That is so true.

Up here, it's still Winter. I can't wait until our first regional event in April.

The addiction is only slightly stronger than that from heroin. (or so I hear, I've never tried that stuff).

Default Do it - it's the most fun you can legally have with your car.

Esp. if you are thinking about Laguna Seca - *VERY* nice experience to drive a track like that and the ACNA folks in that neck of the woods put on a really nice event too.....

Default Heck yeah. You A/S-8 guys did well last year!

Grattan was a complete blast, no? It's like a rollercoaster ride.

I think Paul was counting the days from the moment he left the track last April - he was pumped.

Did you sign-up already? I hear there's lot's of interest - don't wait too long.
