B7 nav in a B6?

Wiring is different, but you can buy an adapter for $50.
Works (nearly) perfectly. Casablanca sent you to the right place. Look for PROXXUS - he's a well known seller. I got my unit off ebay.

They were a factory fit option in late model B6s too
The vast majority of units floating around now though would have been produced well into the B7 model cycle (ie >2005.5).
In answering the OP's question though, yes, a B7 RNS-E unit will drop straight into a B6 (assuming both are double din). You will need cable adaptors to convert the wiring/make it plug and play, a GPS antenna and a radio antenna adaptor.
