Balloon payment letter sent by Audi 3 months in advance. Options?
I had read someone didn't tell Audi what he was going to do until he was at a dealership, when they threw some incentives in for him to purchase the car outright. Is this true? Or do I have to decide 3 months in advance and tell AoA what I want to do?

Sorry I don't have an answer for your question, but I'm wondering what tint level you have on your beautiful Imola S4 in your sig? It looks damn good

When my lease was coming due (this was 4 years ago so I dont know if its the same now, Audi called me to find out what I was going to do.
I could either:
return the car and pay the fees and over mileage charge; trade the car; buy outright (they would not negotiate the buy out one penny), or they would give me a fantastic low rate loan for 5 years.
The rate was fantastic, and I would have jumped at it, but I just wanted a newer Audi.

They sent the letter for a reason.... don't take chances and "wait to see what happens"!!
it sounds like you did what I did... whcih was not a traditional lease. The registration is in your name, but it is structured like a lease, right? If so, then you are responsible for the entire balloon payment at the end of the term which is usually 3 years. You can either pay it outright, finance the balance, or "sell" it back to AOA for the balloon payment. I did option 3 and it was fairly simple.
