A couple weeks ago, one of my key fobs died. Our wonderful owners manual didn't give the battery size or much else for that matter, so after trying to match the battery at a nearby Target, i gave up and went to the AUDI dealer in my town. Simple enough? If you don't mind paying $28! Oddly, after i replaced the battery the key fob still wouldn't work. I asked a tech at the dealer to help and he told me the key fob needed to be re - programed? Before I gave it to him, i took the key fob apart again, re installed the battery, and it worked. I've not had a single problem with my 04 S4, so this is trivial, but i'm left thinking what does Audi charge for real parts...
